The release of the second album from FRIDA KILL is very exciting. I’m so proud to have played a role in this record’s creation. I recorded and mixed the record, called CITY GURL. The album is a diverse platter of bangin’ punky gems, some bare bones, some enhanced by cello and harmonies, always thoughtful and life-affirming. -TH
The second full length LP from Frida Kill called “City Gurl” is a release by Insecurity Hits in collaboration with Get Better Records. These vinyl records have been manufactured to perform to the highest standards by our partners at Precision Record Pressing. "City Gurl," maintains the emphasis on songs with urgent messages like it's predecessor "Kill! Kill!" but expands on Frida Kill's sonic palette, including droning songs that build to a crescendo ("The Crowd," "Chinatown Bus," "Burn It Down"), tracks that will fire up the mosh pit ("Pain Killer"), soulful Spanish language tracks ("La Rosa Peligrosa") and the title track which already has proved to be a fun, infectious fan-favorite, "City Gurl."
