Hello friends and rock music enthusiasts, It’s been a long time since I released any new songs. This is the latest King Haggard EP which was going to originally be an LP but will now be split into separate releases. I got very lucky and had a great band for this one. Sam Braverman played drums on all four songs and bass on two, Evan Berg played bass on the other two songs, Pete Spengeman played lead guitar on all of them. We recorded at Serious Business with Travis Harrison and it was by far the best recording experience I’ve had so far, for various reasons. I’m proud of this recording and think it’s my best so far. So, this is part 1 of ‘A List of Complaints’. I tried to upload it to Spotify and Apple Music, but it was confusing, and I became angry and despondent but for now you can hear it on Bandcamp where it is available for free (or whatever you want to pay). -Ethan Donway - King Haggard

This is the first real EP from alternative-rock project King Haggard entitled ‘A List of Complaints’. The EP was recorded at Serious Business Studios in Brooklyn with Travis Harrison who has recorded the last several Guided by Voices records as well as the Men’s latest LP.
All songs written by Ethan Donway (vox/guitar) (formerly Doctor Barber) Sam Braverman (CoolDeadWoman, formerly of Capsula) played drums on all four songs and bass on two, Evan Berg (formerly the Bottom Dollars) played bass on the other two songs, and Pete Spengeman (CoolDeadWoman, formerly God Tiny) played lead guitar on all of them.
The style is largely influenced by alt-rock acts which began in the 80s and 90s as well as the heavier side of classic rock but is overall an amalgamation of rock sub-genres. The lyrics generally relate to subjects like addiction and mental illness.
